Battlegrounds PC Update Fixes Clothing Issue In Maps

by Imran Khan on Apr 11, 2018 at 04:12 PM

The latest PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds update fixes a long-time issue with clothing drops on maps causing problems for players.

The PC 1.0 update fixes a number of other issues, but the most notable has been an issue players have been having with clothes overlapping with weapons. Clothes often took priority as a pick-up when overlapping with weapons, which can make fast and frenetic moments difficult when two players dive for a weapon and accidentally pick up a shirt instead.

The fix decided upon is to just remove in-game clothing spawns from maps as a whole.

There have also been some changes to the blue zone. The wall now moves more frequently, but moves slower. The desert map, Miramar, has new locations, roads, and vehicle spawns added to it.

The PC and Xbox One releases of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds follow different update roadmaps and are balanced differently. You can check out the full patch notes here.

Our Take
A lot of people are going to be happy about the clothing issue, though the length of time and the severity of the solution makes me think they have been working to find a fix and this was the best they could offer.
