Yacht Club Games Finally Confirms Shovel Knight 64
After years of talking about and teasing a Shovel Knight 64, developer Yacht Club Games has confirmed it is finally coming. That's right, we'll finally be able to see Shovel Knight leverage the technology of the Commodore 64.
It has been a long time coming since Shovel Knight's 2014 release and YCG has been coy about any follow ups to the game, so this version is sure to excite fans of the original game who have been eager to see the developers take on a new generation much like they did NES games with Shovel Knight.
In a blog post about the announcement, the developers explained their reasoning. "Shovel Knight has journeyed to many platforms by now, so it really is a no-brainer to support the Commodore 64, the single most popular computer ever sold! With an install base of this magnitude, we can’t make an argument not to dig in with excitement!"
