Threats Loom Even Larger As Warframe's Latest Update Hits Console

by Jeff Cork on Mar 02, 2018 at 09:53 AM

Warframe players who spend their time on console will have some titanic new foes to take on next week. The Shrine of Eidolon update, which debuted on PC last month, adds a pair of huge new foes to the free-to-play shooter.

The new beasts appear in the open-world Plains of Eidolon, and include the Gantulyst and Hydrolyst. The Gantulyst is a big one – about twice as large as the Teralyst, which showed up with the Plains of Eidolon expansion – who uses his stony arm and both energy beams and balls to damage anyone foolish enough to approach it. The Hydrolyst may not loom quite as large, but it emanates toxic clouds that can erode a Tenno's armor and health away in short order. Players will obviously need to coordinate their attacks if they hope to take down either of these titanic new foes.

In addition to the introduction of the new enemies, the Shrine of the Eidolon update includes balance updates for more than six different Warframes, reorganizes the mastery ranking for more than 150 weapons, and adds the rideable Dargyn. It's a free update on all platforms.
