Did You Know Gaming Explores How Portal Could Have Ended
Did You Know Gaming, a YouTube series about gaming trivia, recently posted a video about several different games' scrapped endings. The video looks at Metal Gear Solid V, Portal 1 & 2, Drawn to Life, and more, to take a deeper look at scrapped ending ideas developers ultimately put aside, as well as accidental secret endings.
For example, the video discusses how Hideo Kojima's original vision for the ending of Metal Gear Solid V had to be cut, and only a segment of it can be viewed on a bonus blu-ray disc. Another interesting tidbit is Valve's different ending ideas for Portal, such as having Chell utter "yes" at the end of the game to deactivate Wheatley. These would have been her only words through the entirety of the game.
