Game Of Thrones' Final Season Announced For 2019
Fans of one of TV's biggest series will have to spend 2018 reading up on their lore or nurturing fan theories, as Game of Thrones's eighth and final season has been pushed back to 2019.
The news had previously been leaked by Sophie Turner (who plays Sansa Stark on Thrones), but today HBO made the official announcement on their website. Show creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss once again return to direct and write the series, joined by David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik (directors) and Bryan Cogman and Dave Hill (writers), all of whom have contributed to past seasons.
