These Were The Most-Downloaded Games On iOS This Year

by Suriel Vazquez on Dec 16, 2017 at 04:00 PM

Apple has released a list of the most-downloaded games on its iOS platform, which includes several games you've heard of, some you probably haven't, and a couple of surprises.

The list is once again split between paid and free (to download, anyway) apps. Super Mario Run tops the free games list, which includes heavy-hitters like Clash Royale and Candy Crush Saga (which only barely made the list this year). Meanwhile, Heads Up! (A party game featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where players must guess the word on their phone as it's placed on their forehead) tops the paid list, with Minecraft following it in second place. Other games you may have heard of include Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' mobile port, Terraria, and Monument Valley 2. You can find the full list below.

Our Take
Showing how culturally aware I am outside of games, I've never heard of Heads Up! besides the fact that it sounds exactly like a party game that people play all the time but I'd never really attached a name to until now.
