Devil May Cry Remaster Gets Another Remaster
Devil May Cry may have had its ups and downs over the years, but many action fans still have a soft spot for the original trilogy (well, two-thirds of the trilogy, at least). Capcom recognized that enduring love last generation, and released an HD collection of the first three games for Xbox 360 and PS3. Five years later, that HD rerelease is getting re-rereleased.
PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players can pick up the Devil May Cry HD Collection on March 13 for $30. According to the announcement on Capcom Unity, the games will run at 60 frames per second, though the accompanying screenshots don't appear all that improved from the last-gen versions. Also, there's no word on whether Capcom has fixed other issues players had with the collection, such as mismatching menu resolutions and outdated video cutscenes. To learn more about the last-gen version, read Joe Juba's review.

Our Take
There's nothing wrong with
rereleasing beloved old games, but the best remasters offer quality-of-life
improvements to keep up with the times (bonus gameplay is always nice too). The
original Devil May Cry HD Collection already suffered from some glaring problems
back in 2012; hopefully Capcom is addressing them for the upcoming release.
