Star Wars Battlefront II Updates Makes Adjustments To The Economy And Progression

by Kyle Hilliard on Dec 04, 2017 at 11:21 AM

EA and Dice issued an update today for Star Wars Battlefront II that makes some changes to the game's economy. EA also promises today's update are just the first steps towards making larger changes.

You can find the full update details here, but here are some of the highlights: End-of-round payouts have been increased, you can earn three times more credits daily in Arcade Mode, and Daily Login Crates will now provide more crafting parts than before.

Along with those updates, Battlefront II is ramping up for its planned updates that will accompany, The Last Jedi. The season content will include new heroes, maps, vehicles, and new single-player content. Finn and Captain Phasma will be added to the game as well as the Crait map for Galactic Assault mode and the D'Qar mao for Starfighter Assault mode. In that mode you will also be able to fly Tallie Lintra's RZ-2 A-wing, a vehicle that will be introduced in the film later this month.

Star Wars Battlefront II's rampant monetization has been a prevalent issue for the game since release. For the most recent update on the ongoing saga, head here.

Our Take
Star Wars Battlefront II needs a lot of work to become a game worthy of a score higher than a 6.5. These changes will certainly help, and new content is great, but by most accounts, Battlefront II needs much larger changes than simply economy adjustments to be a game worth of the Star Wars license. EA says these changes are the first steps toward making larger changes, and I hope that is true.
