Crytek's upcoming game Hunt: Showdown has been on our radar for a while now, partially because of its interesting blend of survival horror and first-person shooter. The fact that it's set in the old west doesn't hurt, either. Today, the developer announced that the PC game is going to have several closed alphas over the course of the winter, and that interested players can sign up for a chance to check it out.

Players can submit their applications at the game's official site. Additional details will be coming soon, including minimum specs, the dates for these alpha periods, and other important info.

Hunt: Showdown is coming to Steam early access on PC in 2018.
