Sony Rewards Now Lets You Buy Games With Your PlayStation Trophies

by Elise Favis on Nov 05, 2017 at 02:06 PM

After a recent update to Sony's reward program, known as Sony Rewards, you can now earn credit towards game purchases depending on how many PlayStation trophies you have.

If you're a member of the program, the points you accumulate can go towards games or can be converted into PSN currency. What kind of trophies and how many you have in your collection all contribute to how many points you'll be given.

100 silver trophies equals 100 points, 25 gold trophies gets you 250 points, and finally, 10 platinum trophies give you 1000 points. Bronze trophies are not included in the program. To get a title completely free, however, takes a lot of work. For example, 1,000 points only gets you $10 of PSN credit.

Some restrictions apply as well. Previous trophies earned before joining Sony Rewards do not count towards earning points, and this offer is only available in the United States.
