Warner Reveals What's In Middle-earth: Shadow Of War's Season Pass

by Jeff Cork on Oct 25, 2017 at 09:58 AM

Middle-earth: Shadow of War came out about two weeks ago (to rave reviews), and now we're firmly in post-release territory. Warner Interactive has outlined what, exactly, the the game's $40 season pass gets you as new content starts trickling into the game starting next month. In short, it's two new orc tribes and a pair of story expansions.

The first two expansions are coming in November and December. Both add new orc tribes to the game, the slaughter tribe and the outlaw tribe. In addition to adding some gruesome new faces to the world, the expansions provide new themed throne rooms, outposts, monuments, and everything else that an orc needs to feel at home.

The Blade of Galadriel story expansion arrives in February 2018, letting you play as Eltariel – known as the Blade of Galadriel. She wields a pair of elven blades, and you can unlock her skin for the main story's campaign. You'll have to wait for May 2018 for the Desolation of Mordor story expansion. There, you play as Baranor and get a sense of how vulnerable it is to be an ordinary human during battle, without the benefit of a magical ring or ghost buddy. You'll also be able to unlock a Baranor skin for the campaign, too.
