Weekend Warrior – New Games And Backlog Cleaning
People around the office this weekend are sticking to favorites like Destiny 2 and Cuphead, but also getting through newer releases such as Shadow of War. Then there's Dan Tack, who loves food more than games.
Imran Khan (@imranzomg) – This weekend, I am going to do my best to crack into my backlog, which includes Cuphead, Danganronpa V3, and more. But what’s more likely to happen is I’m going to start The Evil Within 2, get very scared, and then shut off my consoles as some sort of magical protection.
Suriel Vazquez (@SurielVazquez) – Dear Bungie, I will be playing a lot of Destiny 2’s Iron Banner to get the cool-looking armor set for my Hunter. I won’t have much time to play this weekend, so you should give me all the good drops. If I don’t get the cape and arm pieces I want I swear I will get mildly upset and begrudgingly continue playing Destiny 2 even though it’s turned into a somewhat boring slot machine until the Prestige raid hits. You have been warned.
Dan Tack (@DanTack) – Flax seed bagel with cream cheese avocado and egg whites served with hash browns and hot sauce.
Kyle Hilliard (@KyleMHilliard) – After last weekend’s whirlwind birthday affair, I am looking forward to a more relaxed weekend. I want to play more Golf Story and more Shadow of War, but otherwise I hope to get some sleep and do some general cleaning. Should be a blast.
Ben Hanson (@Yozetty) – Oh man, this weekend I’m travelling for a very long time… so it’s all portable, baby! Unfortunately, South Park is on the horizon and I won’t be able to play it for a while. Looks like it’ll have to be a lot more Golf Story and maybe even some old 3DS games. Realistically though, I’ll probably just keep playing WarioWare for the GBA on my 3DS on an airplane. Alright, well have a good weekend!
Brian Shea (@BrianPShea) – I finally put Mario + Rabbids behind me last night, and I’m making great progress on Shadow of War, so I’ll be playing more of that. I’ll also be continuing my playthrough of Golf Story. Also, Overwatch. Always Overwatch.
Keenan McCall (@KEeNanMcCall525) – I’ll be working on assembling a gaming related Halloween costume most of the weekend. After that, I’ll probably pop in The Evil Within 2 and try to beat it before the wave of triple-A releases hits in two weeks.
George Ash (@GeorgeEAsh) – This weekend I'll be playing more Super Mario Sunshine, which I've delved back into for the first time in a decade earlier this week after the nostalgia bug hit me while writing an article about memorable amusement parks in games. Also, as Brian Shea so eloquently put it, Overwatch. Always Overwatch.
Cody Mello-Klein (@Proelectioneer) – Between all the fun I had on the live stream this week and Miller’s review, I decided to pick up Shadow of War. I’ll diving headlong down that rabbit hole this weekend, looking for any Kumail Nanjiani-voiced orcs and trampling all over Tolkien lore.
