We already know Blizzard has big plans for Halloween this year. The company recently posted a teaser for its upcoming Halloween Terror event, showcasing new skins for McCree and Reaper. Facebook, however, may have ruined some of the surprise.

According to Reddit users PfeiferWolf and Mnemosynaut, the social network was serving ads for the event (which starts on Oct 10) featuring some of the costumes players will be able to unlock. This includes a Chtulhu Zenyatta, Mei as a Jiangshi (a type of Chinese vampire), and Symmetra as a Diablo-like demon. One of the ads also showed off the new Reaper skin from another angle.

None of this is official, obviously, so we could all be in for disappointment should this turn out to be a (very detailed, and elaborate) hoax. We've reached out to Blizzard for comment and will update this article should they reply.

Our Take
Mei continues to get some stellar skins, and that Symmetra skin is wildly transformative (I thought it was Widowmaker at first glance!). It looks likely these are real, and I hope they are.
