Grand Theft Auto Online Gets A New Old-School Aircraft

by George Ash on Sep 26, 2017 at 01:39 PM

Los Santos International Airport has a new plane hitting the runway today alongside plenty of discounts to get you to the airport and up in the air.

The Buckingham Howard NX-25 is a prop aircraft seemingly based on the Hughes H-1 Racer built in 1935. The weaponless aircraft will set you back either $975,000 or just under $1.3 million in game, depending on if you’ve unlocked the trade price discount or not.

The nose of GTA's Howard NX-25 gives away the real life influence of the
Hughes H-1 Racer. Rockstar even named the airplane after Howard Hughes.

If you’re interested in buying this old-school aircraft, Rockstar is helping you out this week with double the cash and RP payouts for bunker-based adversary modes and Bombushka Run through Oct. 2. Biker Business Production and Bunker Research and Manufacturing will also be running 25-percent faster until that time. You can also make some extra cash with the wall-climb stunt race and Vinewood Bowl time trial, which are premium events until Oct. 2.

If you’re looking to purchase other vehicles, now may be the time to do so since Rockstar is discounting certain Buckingham Swift Helicopters up to 40-percent off alongside other ground and aviation discounts.

Our Take
GTA Online’s still going strong, but I’m not sure who’s in the market at this point for a $1 million aircraft with no weapons attached.
