You Can Now Play Super Mario 64 Online For Some Reason

In what might be the culmination of what is thought to be the most foundational 3D game ever released, fangame creators have made Super Mario 64 playable online with 24 characters.

The weird, Lovecraftian mess that is 24 player online Mario 64 has no real goals, per se, so players make their own fun. The trailer below shows players playing hide-and-seek in Boo's Haunted Mansion, one of the few places in the game that employs some fixed camera angles. 

Players can always just finish the level, as well. Getting eight red coins should be a breeze with 24 people searching.independently of them.

Each of the characters plays differently, but much like the Mario Sports games, there is literally no reason to ever use anyone besides Waluigi. Check out the trailer below but ignore the parts that aren't Waluigi.
