by Brian Shea on Sep 07, 2017 at 05:19 PM

Sawaki Takeyasu, director of the critically acclaimed El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, is bringing his new game to North America and Europe, NIS America has announced. The title recently launched in Japan and is now scheduled to make the leap to the West in 2018.

The story features occult journalist Hayato Ibuki investigating multiple mysterious suicides in Tokyo when he encounters a strange girl who gives him a mystical device that lets him capture celestial and arcane creatures. With this device, Ibuki must explore dungeons that house supernatural beings and demons, while solving the myriad mysteries that present themselves. The game features over 100 astrals from mythology to catch and progress through three forms as they learn from a pool of over 250 moves.

The Lost Child is set to hit PlayStation 4 and Vita on North American and European shores in 2018.

Our Take
El Shaddai garnered a cult following, so it will be interesting to see how this direction by Takeyasu fares.
