Someone's Found A New Resident Evil 4 Easter Egg, 12 Years After Release

by Suriel Vazquez on Sep 02, 2017 at 01:00 PM

Resident Evil 4 is one of the greatest games of all time. It's been released on several platforms over the years since its debut in 2005, and despite its age, it's endured as one of the most important third-person shooters of all time. It's also endured when it comes to hiding secrets, as one its many Easter eggs have only just been found.

Youtubber Slippy Slides has found a new secret hidden. As he explains in the video below, a human figure is just barely visible on the other side of the door you cross after helicopter pilot Mike crashes his plane. If your brightness is set too low, you may not even see the figure off in the distance, beyond any area you interact with. However, by manipulating the game's camera, Mr. Slides was able to get a closer look at the figure: A flat image of a person wearing a green down jacket, jeans and a blue scarf, making what looks like a pair of peace signs (the hands are obscured enough that it's entirely clear).

This is probably a cheeky developer inserting immortalizing themselves away from where players can see them. So far away, in fact, no one found him for 12 years.
