Ni No Kuni II Delayed To 2018

by Joe Juba on Jul 13, 2017 at 08:30 AM

Ni no Kuni II is the sequel to an RPG developed in collaboration with famed animation house Studio Ghibli, and the title was slated to release on November 10 this year. However, Bandai Namco and developer Level-5 revealed today that the game needs more time, and will now release next year.

In a video message tweeted out by Bandai Namco US, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino says Ni no Kuni II is now releasing on January 19, 2018. He explains that the studio realized that it needs more time to deliver the experience fans are hoping for.

Our Take
No one likes waiting longer to play the games they are excited about. On the other hand, no one wants to play a disappointing game sooner rather than a better game later, so it's hard to complain too loudly when big titles get delayed.
