See How Local Co-Op Works In Super Mario Odyssey

by Craig Taylor on Jun 15, 2017 at 04:43 PM

During the third day of Nintendo's E3 Treehouse Live Stream, the company revealed Super Mario Odyssey will feature local co-op... sort of.

If you want to play Super Mario Odyssey with another person, one player will control Mario while the other plays as Cappy. Controlling Cappy independently means some puzzles will be easier to complete. Along with different controls, Cappy is also invincible, meaning the second player's experience is significantly different.

To watch the Treehouse Live demonstration of Odyssey's co-op, skip ahead to around 3:40. Super Mario Odyssey releases on Nintendo Switch on October 27.
