Tetsuya Nomura Reimagines The Joker For New Play Arts Action Figure
In recent years, Tetsuya Nomura has taken to redesigning classic Batman characters and turning them into action figures. His first redesign was for Batman, followed the year after by Catwoman. His latest work reimagines the Joker, giving the character a much different look than we're used to.
Joker reworks are a dime a dozen (Nolan's Batman films, Suicide Squad and Injustice 2 have all taken their own spin on the character), but Nomura's design is very different from what we've seen before. For one, Joker's far older this time around, confined to a wheelchair that transforms into an extra set of legs that allows him to stand upright. It's an interesting take on the character (fedora notwithstanding), and the figure (which releases in September for about $200) comes with a number of interchangable parts, including several for his head. There's a Harley Quinn figure on the way, as well.
