Zack Snyder Steps Down From Justice League Film After Tragedy; Joss Whedon To Helm Project
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Watchmen director Zack Snyder has given the reins of the upcoming Justice League movie over to Joss Whedon. Snyder has quit the project to be with his family after the tragic death of his daughter Autumn, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
"We decided to take a step back from the movie to be with my family," Snyder said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, "be with my kids, who really need me."
Batman V Superman, the film that served as the set up for Justice League, grossed over 878 million dollars. Justice League was set to be the director's eighth feature film.
