Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Update Gives King Of The Hill A Permanent Spot

by Jeff Cork on Mar 15, 2017 at 09:45 AM

Uncharted 4 is getting another multiplayer update this week, which adds a new mode and several new items and weapons. It also features a few new character outfits that might be familiar to The Last of Us superfans.

King of the Hill is going to be permanently added to the list of game modes when the update goes live on March 17. In case you missed it when it was a timed event (or haven't played a shooter before), two teams battle over capture points to hit a predetermined score. Uncharted 4's take adds one wrinkle, in that victory only comes by seizing control of the appropriately named Victory Hill. Fail, and it gives the other team one last chance to come back from defeat.

Players can also equip new cosmetic items as well as a pair of new long guns and a scoped pistol. If you played The Last of Us and paid attention to the Savage Starlight comics that were scattered throughout the world, you may get a kick out of some new outfits that are inspired by those comics' characters.

Our Take
I haven't spent a whole lot of time with Uncharted 4's multiplayer, personally, and I'm not sure that this update is enough to nudge me toward it. I'll always cheer for studios who continue to support their games post-release, however.
