The lights are on
Cliff Bleszinski's Boss Key Productions announced today that a closed beta for its first-person arena shooter Lawbreakers will be coming later this month. Running from Thursday, March 16, through Sunday, March 19, fans looking to get their hands on the fast-paced, gravity-defying shooter can sign up at the Lawbreakers website here.
Bleszinski and Boss Key studio communications manager Rohan Revas also talked about their upcoming appearance at PAX East later this week, as well as Lawbreakers impending beta in a video published on the Lawbreakers YouTube channel. You can check the video out down below.
Lawbreakers made our list of the top ten most anticipated shooters of 2017. For some hands-on impression of the build that appeared at E3 last year, you can click here.
Our TakeWith Bleszinski's previous experience in fast-paced shooters like Unreal, Lawbreakers looks poised to be the next big shooter to take what is old and make it new again. As the game enters beta, it will be interesting to see what has changed, and if it really has what it takes to compete with the likes of other ability-based shooters like Overwatch.
Looking foreard to trying this out. Say what you will about Cliff, but damn does he know how to make a fun game.
I feel like this game should do fairly well considering people enjoyed Doom 2016 so much and it was a return to this era of gaming as well in many ways.
