Dirt Rally's VR Update Out Now

by Zak Wojnar on Feb 17, 2017 at 07:55 AM

PlayStation VR is getting a new heavy-hitter with today's release of a VR upgrade for Dirt Rally.

This DLC allows players to enjoy the entirety of Codemasters's critically-acclaimed rally racing simulator in virtual reality. While the base game has yet to receive a PS4 Pro patch, the VR experience will be optimized for owners of Sony's more powerful hardware. The other new feature of the VR upgrade is the inclusion of a unique co-op mode which sees a second player calling out turns and hazards for the driver through on-screen button prompts on the television screen.

The upgrade costs $12.99 on its own, or can be purchased as part of a bundle with the base game and all previous DLC packs for $69.99. However, until February 28, the bundle will be available at a discounted rate: $43.39, with an extra 9 percent off for PlayStation Plus subscribers, bringing the price all the way down to $37.09. Not exactly a nice, round number, but who are we to complain about a sale?
