Rocket League Championship Series Starting In March

by Manon Hume on Feb 07, 2017 at 12:00 PM

Anyone who has played Rocket League understands how competitive the game can be. For such a simple premise – use your super-powered Battle-car to push a huge ball into the goal – online matches can quickly descend into a frenzy of action. Rocket League's previous two seasons of the championship series have shown how eSports players use tactics and teamwork to pull victory from the chaos, and Season 3 is revving up to do the same.

Teams in the North American and European regions can register for the upcoming season from February 9-22. (The newly-introduced region of Oceania will have a different time frame for registration that has yet to be announced.) In addition to joining IBuyPower and Flipeside Tactics as Rocket League champion title-holders, the winners of Season 3 will receive $300,000 as a prize.

To brush up on the game before the season begins, check out Jeff Cork's review here and information about the upcoming Rocket League toy racers here.
