New Maps Coming To Gears Of War 4 This Month
The second monthly update for Gears of War 4 comes out December 6, and it features two new maps and some requested tweaks and fixes.
The two new multiplayer maps are Speyer and Glory. Speyer features a close-quarters sanctuary area, as well as academy plazas and large interior areas better suited for long range fighting. Glory's focal point is an enormous COG artillery piece in a defensive fortress, which teams can use to their advantage.
The two maps will be added to public playlists December 13. Season pass holders will be able to keep the maps permanently, while other players who want to keep using them after they've left the rotation can purchase them individually in the Gears of War store.
Several improvements have been made to the game in the update, including vertical split-screen multiplayer for Windows 10 and a daily rewards system.
As part of the "Gearsmas" promotion, Gears of War 4 will also be discounted 33 percent through December 28 in the Microsoft store.
