Patrick Bach Leaves Battlefield Developer DICE

by Matthew Kato on Nov 07, 2016 at 03:25 AM

DICE VP general manager Patrick Bach is leaving the studio after almost 15 years at the Battlefield developer.

Bach was lead designer of DICE's RalliSport Challenge 2 back in 2002, ascended to producer for Battlefield: Bad Company, and continued on with the Battlefield series as an executive producer from 2010.

In statements on PlayStationLifestyle.net, both the studio and Bach reflected positively on his time with the studio.

"Patrick Bach has been a great colleague to many across DICE and EA for almost 15 years," said Patrick Söderlund, EVP, EA Worldwide Studios. "We thank him for all of his contributions, especially to our Battlefield franchise and community, and wish him all the best on his next adventure."

"I've had an epic ride at DICE and EA," said Bach, "filled with amazingly creative and passionate people, and unforgettable experiences with our player community. I'll certainly be playing Battlefield 1 for a long, long time to come, and I look forward to seeing what's next from the incredible team at DICE."

Bach has not said what he'll do in the future.

For more with Bach, here's a brief interview we conducted with him back in 2010 or check out our video interview with Bach below about Battlefield and the overall shooter market.
