Weekend Warrior – Spoiled For Choice
Heading into the Halloween weekend, it's almost spooky to think of the terrific new games there are to choose from. Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, and Civilization VI all earned gold review scores here at Game Informer this past week. Add in Halloween parties and the many in-game events going on, and there's more to do than any of us can fit in during two days off.

Jeff Cork (@gijeff) – I have a playdate this weekend with one of my all-time favorite people! Former editor Tim Turi and I are going to play through the Gears of War 4 campaign, and I can hardly wait! In addition, I’ll probably continue playing Overwatch (Mercy4eva!) and check out that Titanfall 2 thing. TOO MANY GAMES!
Brian Shea (@BrianPShea) – I’m super looking forward to playing Titanfall 2 this weekend, but I’ll definitely continue obsessively taking part in the Halloween events for Overwatch and Pokémon Go as well. I’ll probably continue my playthrough of Pokémon SoulSilver, and hopefully Batman: Arkham Origins.
Kyle Hilliard (@KyleMHilliard) – It's Halloween! But I don't really have any big plans. Probably do some trick-or-treating on Monday. Watch a scary movie? Who knows. I will also play Titanfall 2.
Suriel Vazquez (@SurielVazquez) – I’m hoping to finish up Battlefield 1 this weekend. Then I’ll probably dive into Civilization VI. I played the demo for Civ V for like ten hours, but never dedicated the time to the full release. This will be my first full Civ experience, and I hope Gandhi doesn’t get too mad at me. Also I’ll be playing through Super Mario World and tweeting about it! Follow along with the hashtag #SuperVazquezWorld to win fabulous prizes like nothing!!!
Michael Leri (@OrangeFlavored) – Because it’s not "socially acceptable" for me to trick-or-treat, I’ll try to do the best to flaunt my admittedly-cheap costume of Jake Peralta from Brooklyn 99. But if that doesn’t come together, I’ll dress up as a guy who is trying to win the ESL Community Cup in Mortal Kombat X, wrap up Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4, and stack loot boxes in Overwatch. Although I might switch costumes to a guy who breaks down and buys Titanfall 2 on a whim.
Ian Boudreau (@iboudreau) – I'm going to keep trying to get my hands on the Thriller skin for Soldier 76 in Overwatch, but time is running out. Aside from that, though, I might head back to Vermintide for a few rounds of good old fashioned Skaven thumping. And I'm pretty sure I hear the sweet siren song of Titanfall 2 calling my name.
Kevin Slackie (@KSlackie) – I just found out that there’s a Halloween Pokémon convention this weekend so I’m gonna check that out. There’s also a Halloween party at the local indie game hub Glitch which should be a blast. Other than that I gotta beef up a competitive Pokémon team and finish off Black Mirror so it’s looking like my days will be super spooky. Oh plus have to catch as many ghost Pokémon in Go while the event is going!
