Pro Evolution Soccer 2017's Substantial Free October Update

by Matthew Kato on Oct 19, 2016 at 02:01 AM

Update: The game's 1.02 update in October includes new player likenesses and boots, while the 1.03 November update introduces the additional licensing touches for Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund (as well as 4K support for PS Pro).

We regret the error in the original text.

Original Text: Konami has pledged better online update support for PES 2017 compared to last year, and to that end the company has detailed the game's free October update.

A positive for this year's game is some of its licenses, and the update – scheduled for the end of October – includes official stadiums for Liverpool (Anfield) and Borussia Dortmund (Signal Iduna Park). The updated presentation package includes the customary "You'll Never Walk Alone" song for Liverpool as well as chants.

The update also includes new likenesses for 39 players who've done well so far, including Victor Wanyama (Tottenham), Aymeric Laporte (Athletic Bilbao), and Mario Lemina (Juventus).

Finally, the 1.03 update introduces 4K/60FPS support for PlayStation Pro, more official boots/kits, and bug fixes.

Another free update is expected at the end of November, with more coming in 2017.
