Plants Vs. Zombies Heroes Out Now On iOS, Android

by Michael Leri on Oct 18, 2016 at 11:39 AM

The Plants Vs. Zombies series has tackled tower defense and third-person shooters, but today adds the collectible card game genre to the list. Plants Vs. Zombies Heroes is out now for free on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.

Players can expect a full single-player adventure with 400 levels, 200 collectible character cards, and 20 heroes that pull from other games in the Plants Vs. Zombies franchise. Heroes also has a ranked online multiplayer mode that allows players to fight each other with their custom decks. Although this is the first Plants Vs. Zombies game with cards, the original Plants Vs. Zombies began as a card game too.

“Plants vs. Zombies Heroes started a few years ago as a paper card game prototype and a fun way for our team to enjoy playing with their favorite PvZ characters in their spare time,” said Senior Producer, Brian Lindley. “Since then it has evolved into a hilarious, crazy, over-the-top collectible card game that’s fun for everyone but packed with depth, secrets and strategy. We can’t wait for our fans to start playing.”
