Netflix's Stranger Things has been a huge hit, and the announcement in August of its renewal for a second season was fantastic news for fans. According to a recent news article from Entertainment Weekly, the sci-fi show is introducing some new faces when it returns next year.

Newcomers to the cast include Dacre Montgomery, who will be also be appearing in the upcoming Power Rangers movie, and Sadie Sink (American Odyssey). Montgomery will assume the role of Billy, who is the "hyper-confident and edgy older step-brother" of Max. Billy is bursting with charisma, though he has a darker side hidden underneath. Max will be played by Sink, and is described as "a tough and confident girl whose appearance, behavior and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls in this era."

Additionally, characters such as Steve Harrington (played by Joe Keery) and Will Byers (played by Noah Schnapp) have been promoted from their recurring roles to full-time regular cast members in season two.

The second season for Stranger Things hits in 2017.
