Hello Games Drops Another Patch For No Man’s Sky

by Matt Bertz on Sep 23, 2016 at 08:29 AM

When internet rage boiled over regarding its space exploration game, No Man's Sky, the developers grit their teeth and bunkered down to focus on some technical shortcomings that were causing lost saves, crashes, etc. The first new patch since early September has finally arrived, though it does not bring the expanded content angry players are demanding.

Today, PC and PS4 owners can download the 1.09 patch, which is mostly focused on addressing technical shortcomings like corrupted save files, unmineable resources, and random bugs. You can read the full list on the No Man's Sky website.

Our Take
Hello Games has faced a sustained barrage from owners who feel the game didn't live up to promises and expectations, and this bug-focused patch isn't going to calm that shouting demographic. But for players who are still exploring the great unknown, these quality of life fixes should make their journey less frustrating.
