Legion Companion App Now Live For World Of Warcraft

by Daniel Tack on Sep 06, 2016 at 10:55 AM

Announced at PAX West 2016, Blizzard's Legion Companion app for World of Warcraft is available today on Android and iOS, allowing players to work on their class halls and manage their champions on the go.

The app is free, and in addition to allowing players to manage their timers for champion missions, troop hires, and class hall upgrades, the app also gives players information about what world quests are currently available and the associated rewards.

Our Take
A feature like this was something I (and many other players I'm sure) would have loved with the garrison development and missions in Warlords of Draenor, and I'm happy we have one now. This is especially handy if you're not a daily player and just need to see what's happening for upgrades, mission management, and the "bounty bags" that are offered from sets of World Quests. Missions tend to take a lot more time to complete in Legion, and you don't have a huge stable to draw from, so you won't have to micromanage furtively on your phone - but you can still ensure you don't miss a moment of efficient mission control. This is an especially handy app if you find yourself traveling or stuck somewhere with no WoW access for days at a time, you'll be able to get an endgame progress trickle and not worry about your troops and champions going to waste.
