Weekend Warrior – Making The Most Of Summer's Remains

by Ben Reeves on Aug 26, 2016 at 02:00 PM

With only a few weeks left in summer, we're eager to make the most out of the remaining warm weather. Of course, that means we'll be playing a lot of video games indoors like usual. What about you? Share your weekend plans in the comments below.

Kyle Hilliard (@kylemhilliard) – I started playing Abzu last night, so imagine I will keep going strong on that. I also bought Mega Man X for the eighth or ninth time on 3DS (I lost count a long time ago), so I will probably rip through that at some point. That game is like my security blanket. I’ve also been playing Metroid Prime Federation Force, and I would like to see that game through to the end. Otherwise, it’s cooking, cleaning, and Pokémon Go.

Ben Hanson (@yozetty) – Well, I have no clue what I’m going to be playing this weekend. I’m sure Pokémon Go will be throw in the mix, but I’m thinking that I should really go back and play more of Double Fine’s Headlander. I really like what I’ve played so far, so I should just finish it off. Other than that, I’m wide open to suggestions. Have a good weekend!

Andrew Reiner (@Andrew_Reiner) – I’m hunting Pokemon with the wife and kid on Saturday. When both of them are asleep, I can’t wait to watch more of Ash vs Evil Dead. The first episode, which is written and directed by Sam Rami, was incredible; everything I wanted from a sequel. If you haven’t checked this series out, do so now. It’s ridiculously good (and scary). As far as gaming goes, I need to finish up the last section in Abzu, and will be playing more of Valley and No Man’s Sky.

Suriel Vazquez (@SurielVazquez) – I’m gonna try to play through Call of Duty Black Ops II and III as research for the upcoming Call of Duty XP event. I’m also going to try to squeeze in some Deus Ex and Mortal Kombat XL on PC if I can.

Jeff Marchiafava (@GIJeffM This weekend I plan to keep plugging away at No Man’s Sky, which I covered in great detail right here. After I’m done visiting every planet in the game (I’m thinking probably by Saturday afternoon), I hope to hop back into Doom and rid Mars of its pesky demon problem. What can I say, I’m a big sci-fi nerd!
