Halo 5: Forge Hits Windows 10 And Anvil’s Legacy Arrives On Consoles September 8

by Mike Futter on Aug 24, 2016 at 06:26 AM

Halo 5 is arriving for Windows 10 PCs today, but not quite in full-game fashion. As previously announced, Microsoft and 343 are releasing the Forge building tools for that platform. You’ll be able to start building maps with mouse and keyboard on September 8.

Thankfully, you will still be able to get some gameplay out of the deal. Halo 5: Forge will support custom games for up to 16 people. Any Forge creations built and shared on Windows 10 can be downloaded by other players on both PC and Xbox One.

Also on September 8, 343 is rolling out the next free update for Halo 5: Guardians on Xbox One. Anvil’s Legacy includes a content browser for Forge mode, new maps for Arena and Warzone, as well as new weapons and cosmetics.
