You Can Sign Up For The PS4 Software Update Beta
If you like to be at the cutting edge of console features and don’t care about potential bugs, Sony wants your help. The next wave of PS4 software updates is coming.
In order to be considered for the software beta, you’ll need to register. Even if you’ve been part of past tests, be sure to visit this link to re-up.
Unfortunately, Sony isn’t sharing what it’ll be testing. The beta will start in early August, so we won’t have long to wait, though.
You must be 18 years old to register. All you need to do is submit your PSN ID and answer a question about receiving beta-related communications. Not all registrants will be selected.

Beta testing features is a smart move for console makers. Not only does it allow users to find edge cases that may cause unforeseen bugs, but when the features do launch, there’s a body of players ready to evangelize new options.
