Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 And 2 Make Their Way To Current-Gen Consoles Next Week

by Elise Favis on Jul 23, 2016 at 11:17 AM

It was announced at San Diego Comic-Con that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 will re-release on current-gen platforms.

Both games will launch digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Tuesday, July 26. Marvel mentions that the games will have a graphical overhaul and UI upgrades. Executive producer Mike Jones told Marvel.com that, "We wanted these re-releases to be as faithful to the original Ultimate Alliance games as possible — the definitive versions."

The two games can be bought individually for $39,99, or in a bundle for $59.99. Notably, this is Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2's first appearance on PC.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance first launched in 2006, and its sequel released three years later. In terms of DLC, it's unclear whether they will all be included in the pack. We've sent an inquiry regarding characters that were DLC and platform specific, and whether they will be included here. We'll update once we hear back.

Our Take
It's great news to hear that this classic series is coming back to consoles, but I'd be curious to know if DLC will also be included considering the price.
