Bryan Fuller Reveals Title For Upcoming Star Trek TV Reboot

by Elise Favis on Jul 23, 2016 at 12:55 PM

We already knew a Star Trek TV reboot was on its way, but up until now its name was unknown to the public. At San Diego Comic-Con today, executive producer Bryan Fuller revealed the title for the upcoming Star Trek TV reboot, which will be named Star Trek: Discovery. Along with the announcement, a sneak peek showing off the U.S.S. Discovery starship taking off was shown.

The premiere will be aired on CBS in January 2017, and subsequent episodes will be exclusively available on the streaming service CBS All Access.  As reported by TV Line, Fuller mentioned at the reveal that, “We’re telling stories in a brand-new way. We’re not so much episodic. There have been 762 episodes of Star Trek television, so we’re going to be telling stories like a novel, chapter by chapter.”
