IndieCade 2013 Winner Quadrilateral Cowboy Gets Release Date

by Jeff Marchiafava on Jul 11, 2016 at 01:09 PM

Blendo Games' experimental hacking game finally has a release date, and interested players won't have to wait long to check it out.

Quadrilateral Cowboy's sole developer Brendon Chung announced on Twitter that fans will only have to wait two more weeks to get their hands on the game:

Quadrilateral Cowboy wowed judges at the  IndieCade Festival way back in 2013, taking home the Grand Jury Award. The game tasks players with writing code on an '80s era computer, while also solving environmental puzzles that require you to deactivate alarms and lasers and reconfigure your bulky hardware. The game was expected to release later in 2013, but has been suffered from a number of delays, making today's announcement all the more exciting for eager fans.

Quadrilateral Cowboy's homepage has also been updated, stating that Mac and Linux versions of the game will launch in September. You can get more information on the game's standard and deluxe versions by checking out Blendo Games' FAQ.

Our Take
I'm a big fan of puzzle games based on programming, so I'm looking forward to checking Quadrilateral Cowboy out. Hopefully fans who have been following the project deem it worth the wait.
