New Mass Effect Novels Will Bridge Gap Between Original Trilogy And Andromeda
Update: BioWare has since commented on the announcement of the four new novels coming our way in a blog post.
"These novels will give us the opportunity to expand the Mass Effect universe and bring new stories to life outside of the games," the blog post says. BioWare is quick to follow that with saying that it's still in the middle of the creative process, so it's too early to reveal any details or release windows. The post stated to stay tuned for more info in the future.

A new series of Mass Effect novels are underway from publisher Titan Books, which will serve to bridge the narrative gap between the original trilogy of games and Mass Effect: Andromeda.
Titan Books describes that these series of novels will "act as prequel and sequels to the events in the games and will become part of the overarching Mass Effect saga. They will focus on key characters and answer the many questions fans have been asking." The series involves four books. The first is titled Mass Effect: Andromeda Initiative, written by fantasy author N.K. Jemisin, which will release this year in August. The other three books are expected to release in March 2017, September 2017, and March 2018.
While the second and third novels don't have a confirmed author just yet, the fourth will be written by Mass Effect creative director Mac Walters.
Details have been sparse about the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda, but you can read about its expansive open-world here, as well as find out why your chosen ending from the original trilogy won't transcend into the new game. This year's E3 also showcased a new trailer.
