A Noir Inspired Witcher 3 Is A Game We Want To Play

by Blake Hester on Jun 27, 2016 at 07:23 AM

Artist Ástor Alexander has re-imagined several of the main faces from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as characters in a noir-inspired murder mystery. And it's now a game we wish we had.

In a series of three paintings, Alexander takes Geralt, Ciri, Triss, and Yennefer and gives them a smoky, mysterious twist à la films like The Maltese Falcon and Chinatown. Notable is how Alexander also incorporates themes from The Witcher series, such as the symbols of Geralt's magical signs on the side of his gun. Check out the paintings in the gallery below.

Alexander has also done re-imagined paintings for series such as The Legend Of Zelda and Dragon Ball Z. For more on The Witcher 3, read our review of its recent expansion, Blood And Wine.
