65daysofstatic Takes No Man’s Sky Soundtrack On Tour

by Haley MacLean on Jun 27, 2016 at 07:06 AM

UK instrumental band 65daysofstatic is going on a world tour in support of its upcoming soundtrack for Hello Games Studio's No Man's Sky. The album entitled No Man’s Sky: Music for an Infinite Universe, will have the largest tour for a video game soundtrack to date.

We interviewed 65daysofstatic a couple years ago when we learned that they were providing the soundtrack for the highly anticipated sci-fi and procedurally generated video game. The digital and CD release of the soundtrack will arrive just before No Man Sky's launch  on August 5. No Man's Sky is set to release on PS4 and PC on August 9 in North American and August 10 in the UK and Europe.

A vinyl release date has not yet been set, but plans are in place for sometime this fall. A teaser for the album artwork can be seen above (click for full image), and the full artwork will be released on 65daysofstatic's social media in the coming weeks. The soundtrack has 10 tracks including a second collection of six soundscapes. You can pre-order the album here, or check out the latest track the band just released on its Soundcloud page called Red  Parallax.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on the band's official website first in Europe on June 29, with the rest of the world to follow once dates have been confirmed. You can check out the places they are heading here
