PSA: Watches Included With Zero Time Dilemma Limited Watch Edition Delayed

by Javy Gwaltney on Jun 24, 2016 at 03:16 PM

Original Story (June 24, 2016 @ 8:16 p.m. Central):

Were you one of those folks who ordered one of the limited editions of Zero Time Dilemma to get its cool watch? Well, Aksys Games has some bad news for you: the watches have been delayed by a few weeks because they were damaged and have been "sent back to the factory."   Those who ordered this edition of the game will still get the game on release and will receive the watch later as well as an added "bonus" of some sort.

Here's the explanation in full from Aksys' official Twitter account:

We've reached out to Aksys Games for further comment and will update this article accordingly if we hear back.

Zero Time Dilemma is out next week. You can read our review of the game here

Update: We've heard back from an Aksys Games representative, Danny Miscevich, who explained the situation a little further:

It's beyond frustrating to get this close to launch and have this happen, but fans have been amazing and extremely understanding. The watch bundles were severely damaged during transportation from the factory.  We were left in a less than desirable situation, but faced with either shipping damaged goods or issuing a delay, the choice was pretty clear. We've shipped out the games to Amazon and GameStop (the two retailers that have the bonus) so fans won't have to wait for their game. We're working with the factory to get replacement watches, and from what we've been told, should be a few weeks. Just to be clear, any delay is unacceptable but we'll keep everyone updated as we know more.

Our Take
Bummer! But hey, at least Aksys is being upfront about the trouble and is including a bonus to make it up to folks who paid for the limited edition.
