Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, Daisy, Waluigi And More Amiibos On The Way

by Kyle Hilliard on Jun 14, 2016 at 08:33 AM

Nintendo has announced three Amiibos to commemorate The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, as well as a handful of other new and reposed Nintendo character Amiibos.

From Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nintendo is releasing Link with a bow and arrow, Link on horseback, and the Guardian figure, which is the first Amiibo with moveable parts (unless you count plush Yoshi). It's unclear exactly how these Amiibos will affect the game. The Wolf Link Amiibo included with Twilight Princess HD will also be compatible with Breath of the Wild. This is what he will do, straight from Nintendo's press release:

When players tap a Wolf Link amiibo to the Wii U GamePad controller, Wolf Link will attack enemies on his own and help players to hunt. He has three hearts, unless players carry over save data from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. Wolf Link disappears when his hearts run out.

Update: Nintendo showed how Twilight Princess Wolf Link will look in Breath of the Wild. You can check out a screen below.

Alongside the Zelda amiibos, Nintendo also announced brand new Waluigi, Daisy, and Boo (which glows in the dark) Amiibos. There will also be be Amiibos with new poses for Wario, Rosalina, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong.

You can find additional close-up images in the images of all the new Amiibos in gallery below.
