Xbox One S Revealed
During its conference, Microsoft kicked off the show by revealing the new Xbox One S, a slimmer version of the Xbox One. An image of the Xbox One S leaked yesterday but wasn't confirmed by the publisher until now.
Microsoft says that the Xbox One S will be 40-percent smaller than the first iteration of the console and will feature an internal hard drive with up to 2 TB, an integrated power supply, a new wireless controller with textured grips and increased wireless range. The cheapest version of the Xbox One S will retail for $299 and will go on sale in August.
You can watch the reveal trailer for the new version of the console here below.
Update: Microsoft's Mike Ybarra just confirmed that the Xbox One S will ship with an ultra HD blu-ray player. These typically retail for $200 - $400. The inclusion of a drive in the new model greatly enhances its $299 to $399 price.
Xbox One S: Starting at $299, UHD BR disc and video streaming 4K, 4K upscaler, 40% smaller, new controller, best games, fully compatible.
