by Elise Favis on Jun 13, 2016 at 03:57 PM

Sony has announced three upcoming PlayStation virtual-reality titles based on popular franchises. These include Star Wars Battlefront X-Wing VR mission, Batman Arkham VR, and Final Fantasy XV VR.

Our news editor Mike Futter had a chance to try both the Final Fantasy XV and Batman demos for VR. In Final Fantasy XV, your party goes head on against a behemoth. You can warp around the battlefield, and the Move controller is used in combat for aiming.

The exclusive Batman VR experience from Rocksteady will allow players to equip Batman's famed weapons and tools, such as the grapnel gun and the batarang, and it will feature narrative-driven investigation sequences. Finally, the Star Wars Batltefront X-Wing VR mission will have you take on the role of an X-Wing pilot to travel through space and fight off other ships. This VR game will be free on PlayStation 4 for those that already own Battlefront.

These titles look to be spin-offs from their respective series. PlayStation VR hits October 13 in North America

You can watch a couple of the trailers below for Final Fantasy XV VR and Batman Arkham VR.
