For Honor Receives Cinematic Trailer, Ubisoft Shows Off Single-Player Campaign

by Elise Favis on Jun 13, 2016 at 11:30 AM

Ubisoft revealed a new cinematic trailer for the medieval hack-and-slash For Honor, as well as showed off the single-player campaign for the first time today at its press conference.

In the first teaser, we're introduced to Apollyon, an ominous warlord who narrates the trailer by saying, "I bring war." Apollyon ends up in an epic fight with two other warriors. In For Honor's single player, you will work with one of the three factions (knights, samurai, vikings) to foil the plans of this warlord. You can watch the trailer below.

While we've already seen a glimpse of multiplayer at last year's E3, this time around we're shown a story campaign demo. In the campaign, you can play as a knight for the Black Stone Legion to drive enemies from your lands, as a samurai to bring back prestige to the empire, or as a viking in the aftermath of war. The demo shows off what it's like to be in the shoes of a viking who raids a samurai base. You can swing at enemies ferociously with a large axe, use a grapple rope to climb tall walls, perform aerial takedowns, and of course, you excel at hand-to-hand combat.

For Honor will be available February 14, 2017, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
