EA Reveals New Esports Events

by Javy Gwaltney on Jun 12, 2016 at 10:40 AM

During the EA Play press conference, the publisher revealed a new series of eSports events that will be available in several upcoming EA games, including Battlefield 1 and Titanfall.

There were three events that the publisher briefly described, each of them intended to appeal to a different niche of players. Challenger Events are designed to allow players to host their own events, while Premier Events are described as "large-scale events" that EA hosts with selected partners. The last tier of events is simply called EA Major Events and are major events run "on a global scale," featuring the top players of each game.
