[Trailer Added] EA Originals Indie Publishing Program Kicks Off With Zoink Studios' Fe

by Mike Futter on Jun 12, 2016 at 10:56 AM

Last year, EA vice president Patrick Soderlund told us that the publisher would be investing more in indies like Coldwood's Unravel. Today, EA announced a new indie publishing program called EA Originals.

The first game under the program, which seems like a successor to the defunct EA Partners initiative, is Fe from Zoink Studios. You play a strange creature that is trying to uncover the mysteries of his species.

Each plant and animal in the forest has its own song, and learning a new one connects you further with the world and opens up more areas to explore. The forest is not without its dangers, though. The Silent Ones have a nefarious purpose you'll need to overcome.

EA has more Originals projects it will be talking about in the coming months. As part of the program, the publisher says it is providing support, but also will return significant profits to developers.
