The Public Is Getting Into E3 For Free (Sort Of)

by Mike Futter on May 23, 2016 at 03:25 AM

For the first time, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) will be hosting a public E3 event. It won’t be at the Los Angeles Convention Center, though.

The ESA has announced E3 Live, taking place during E3 week at L.A. Live (right next door to the convention center). There will be gameplay hands-on opportunities, entertainment, VR demos, live music, and industry personalities.

With EA pulling out of the convention center entirely (and hosting its public EA Play event) and other related events happening nearby, this gives local gamers (and those making the trip) something more to do that week. There’s no cost to attend, but you’ll need tickets. Those under the age of 17 will need a parent accompanying them.

The event starts on Tuesday, June 14 at 5 p.m. Pacific. On Wednesday and Thursday, the event kicks off at 12 p.m. Pacific and runs until 10 p.m. Pacific.

You can register for your tickets on the official E3 Live site.
